The Christian Missionary Alliance has not always been a denomination. It was started by a pastor in New York City named Albert Benjamin Simpson (A.B. Simpson) in the late 1800’s when the Lord gave him a heart for immigrants. His calling to connect the local church to world missions began what we now know as the Alliance.
